Constellation Star Charts

Of the 88 official constellations designated by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) we can see 68 from the British Isles over the course of a year. Some of these are small and faint, others are bright and conspicuous enough to act as seasonal signposts. Most constellations contain something of interest to the casual observer, from colourful star groupings, through variable stars and star clusters to galaxies and nebulæ. In addition, any zodiacal constellations will play host to the Sun, Moon and planets. The following links will open up a star chart pointing out the accessible objects within and a brief mythology of the constellation:

Circumpolar Constellations

Spring Constellations
Summer Constellations
Autumn Constellations
Winter Constellations
